Genesis G90 2022: the Korean luxury saloon presents its exquisite interior and features in full detail
Following the launch of several of the brand’s models over these months, it is now the turn of the G90, the most luxurious saloon in Genesis’s product line-up

Throughout this year of 2021, the premium brand from Hyundai has been unveiling new launches such as the G80 Sport, the spiciest version of the G80, or the GV60, the next SUV set to arrive in Europe in 2022. Now it is the turn of the all-new Genesis G90 2022, the new flagship of the Korean brand, which, together with its SUV sibling, will reach our markets next year.
With a truly elegant design, an interior full of luxury and a wide range of equipment, the new Genesis G90 presents itself as a firm alternative to its direct German rivals, who certainly should not underestimate the Korean model.
Faithful to its essence
When it comes to design, the new Genesis G90 features the same design language we have already seen in the brand’s latest launches, with an enormous grille in chrome finish, large air intakes in the lower part of its bumper and light units divided in a horizontal arrangement.

Looking at the saloon in profile, we find a very refined and stately line, in which the large dimension of its rear door in the long-wheelbase version (190 mm) stands out. In addition, this elegant view is accentuated by its new 20-inch wheel designs, indicator lights that follow the same design as the front lights, flush door handles and a raised waistline.
At the rear, we find horizontally arranged tail lights, which follow exactly the same scheme we have already mentioned for the other lights, with their illumination split into two sections.

Added to this, there is a pleasing small spoiler, which subtly enhances the dynamic character of the large saloon, together with its two exhaust outlets and the elegant chrome-finish trim running along the entire lower part of its rear, sides and front.
Luxury at the highest level
Stepping inside, we can appreciate the great effort the brand has put into delivering a sense of luxury of the highest standard, with electrically reclining front and rear seats upholstered in high-quality leather, a centre console for both the front and rear, aluminium and wood trim, and a multifunction two-spoke steering wheel that could be that of a Rolls-Royce.

As for technology, the Genesis also features a large fully digital instrument cluster and a central screen integrated into its equally large dashboard. Naturally, these are accompanied by numerous systems such as air purifiers, air suspension, automatic door closing and a long list of other equipment.
Under its bonnet, the G90 is now more efficient, as it drops the V8 in favour of a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 T-GDi engine, which develops a more than interesting 380 CV to the rear wheels, although a four-wheel-drive system will also be offered as an option.
