Goggo Cart, the first autonomous food truck, debuts at MOGY
At MOGY, the fair for sustainable technology, electric mobility and smart cities, the world’s first autonomous food truck will be presented.

Many events feature one or more food trucks: vans equipped to provide catering services to attendees. There are many types of these vehicles, but at MOGY, the fair for sustainable mobility and smart cities, we will be able to see the world’s first autonomous food truck. It is the Goggo Cart, a vehicle created by the company Goggo Network.
This original proposal is designed to boost local dining, with the inclusion of menus offered by restaurants in Las Rozas. The vehicle will be based on Calle Real, in the centre of Las Rozas. There, the restaurants taking part in this pilot test can place their menus in its dedicated compartment, where they will be kept in good condition throughout the operating period.

An automated route
The route followed by the food truck is fully automated and follows a pre-set path. To make its stops, points with pedestrian traffic at certain times have been chosen. In this way, the service is optimised and the most requested type of food can be offered.
The service can be used thanks to a company app, which offers a list of all the menus available on the food truck. In this way, users can geolocate the food truck, choose the menu they want to enjoy, pay through the app and collect their food. If food runs out during the day or menus need to be changed, the Goggo Cart will return to the restocking point.
At the end of the day, the van will return to its parking space and recharge overnight. Unsold menus will be handled in a charitable way, under a social commitment programme. This project has already been tested in other cities in China and Switzerland, although Las Rozas will be the first city to carry out the first complete pilot test.
The project is scheduled to enter service before the end of 2021 and will make Las Rozas the first city in the world to have an autonomous food truck. The project is backed by the developer company Goggo Network and Las Rozas Innova, a municipal company dedicated to technological innovation aimed at improving the city.
