Honda Prologue Electric Cars SUV
Honda Prologue 2024: the first electric SUV from the Japanese brand
The Honda Prologue is the brand’s first electric offensive in the SUV segment, debuting a modern and attractive design, plenty of technology and promising a long range

Currently, Honda offers only one fully electric model in its portfolio in our country. This is the Honda E (test). However, all of the brand’s other models come with a hybrid system, which allows the brand to boast a fully electrified range.
Despite all this, Honda still does not have a large, fully electric SUV, something it has now set out to remedy with its new Prologue. An SUV built on the Ultium platform developed by General Motors, which we already know from other models such as the Chevrolet Equinox.
The largest in the brand
With a length of 4,877 mm, a width of 1,634 mm and a height of 1,643 mm, the new SUV is similar in size to the CR-V, though slightly larger, so we can already say it offers generous interior space and a quite spacious boot.

In terms of design, the new Honda Prologue has a clean and fairly modern look, which bears some resemblance to the brand’s latest launches.
The front features horizontal LED light units, a fully closed black grille with the brand logo in the centre, and a bumper with muscular shapes and a small cooling intake at its lower end.

In profile, the SUV rides on two-tone 21-inch alloy wheels, the classic black SUV cladding along the lower body, and fairly clean shapes without pronounced creases.
At the rear, the LED taillights are joined by a gloss black trim that emphasises the vehicle’s width, a fairly small rear windscreen with a small spoiler integrated into it, and a bumper that highlights its more crossover-like character.

Plenty of technology
Once inside, the cabin is packed with technology, dominated by a central 11.3-inch touchscreen and a fully digital 11-inch instrument cluster from which all vehicle status data can be viewed.
As a surprise, beneath the central infotainment screen there is a physical module for the climate control, allowing you to change the temperature or fan intensity without having to scroll through menus on the screen.

As for its mechanical specifications, Honda has chosen not to disclose any data on this front, although considering the range figures offered by the Equinox, for example, we can expect something close to 500 kilometres of range.
With all this, we can only wait to learn more about this new SUV, such as its market arrival date, price or performance data.
