The South Korean brand has posted a record 2025 sales year in our country with 68,568 vehicles registered (+5.7%) vs 2024, managing to hold fourth place, with a market share of 6%.

Hyundai Motor Spain increased its business value in our country, with revenue of 1,382 million euros and growth of 5.3%, achieving total sales of 68,568 units. More than 66% of sales were electrified. The dealer network closed the year with a profitability of 2%, above the market figure (1.4%).

In terms of model sales, the Tucson consolidated its position as the best-selling model, with 21,974 units, and cumulative sales since the model’s launch in 2020 of 107,000 units. For its part, the Kona recorded registrations of 17,824 units; the i20 14,258 units, the i10 11,788 units and Bayon 10,034 units.

By channel, the private customer market remains the most successful for Hyundai, accounting for 50% of total sales with 34,391 units. Sales to businesses make up almost a third of the total (29%), while those of rental companies stand at 21%.

Hyundai Nexo

For 2026, Hyundai expects to maintain sales at around 68,000 units and will continue to strengthen the customer experience as a strategic and differentiating factor. 2026 will also be the year of the launch of Genesis in Spain, initially with three dealerships (Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia) and three models: GV60, GV70 and G80, which will enter the market in mid-2026.

Commitment to electrification

2025 has been a milestone year for electrification: more than 66% of sales were electrified vehicles, a 25% increase compared with 2024. The market share of battery electric vehicles reached 4.84%, with battery electrics accounting for 7.4% of total sales, thanks to a broad range of electrified vehicles, with six 100% electric models.

The brand’s global plan foresees an investment of 47,061 million euros through 2030, with 3.3 million electrified vehicles for that year, a range of 21 pure electric models by 2030; expansion of the hybrid range to 18 models, including Genesis and global sales of 5.55 million units in 2030.

Hyundai Staria Ev

Four new models

The range is expected to continue expanding in Spain throughout 2026 with four models. The first to arrive will be the electric version of the Staria, scheduled for the first quarter. Later, the Nexo will arrive, a crossover powered by hydrogen with a new look and better performance than the previous version.

A sporty N variant of the Ioniq 6 will also arrive, with more performance and new features. By the end of the year, the Ioniq 3 will arrive, also powered by electricity and with interesting performance, at around 30,000 euros.
