Hyundai i10: with 0.8 Turbo engine producing 90 CV

Hyundai_i10

Hyundai is developing a turbocharged three-cylinder engine of just 800 cc that would deliver a power of 90 CV. The Korean brand could not resist the turbocharged engines that are so fashionable these days.

The engine in question would produce considerable power for its small size, reaching 112.5 CV per litre. It would also maintain CO2 emissions of 100 g/km. This engine was previewed at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, with the Hyundai i10 Blue CNG concept.

Besides the performance of the new 0.8-litre engine, it could also debut under a new name i-Blue. The engine will also reach other models in the group, such as the Kia Picanto. The new three-cylinder engine would surpass the current 1.2i of 78 CV in power, but besides the 90 CV version there will also be another of lower output, around 80 CV that will have a lower cost.

    saludos
