The KGM Torres EVX is now available in a van version aimed at professionals in goods transport thanks to its N1 approval

Two years ago, KGM, formerly SsangYong, announced the arrival of a fully electric model based on its Torres, the Torres EVX, positioned in the D-segment of fully electric SUVs. Now the Torres family keeps growing, this time through the Torres EVX Van, adapted so that short-distance transport, especially in urban environments, can be carried out in an eco-friendly way.

The KGM Torres EVX Van thus achieves N1 approval for goods transport and represents one more alternative for professionals looking for a load vehicle that can avoid the restrictions of the ZBE low-emission zones. In fact, from the outside the KGM Torres EVX Van is indistinguishable from the conventional model, as it shares the same design and generous dimensions; let us recall that it measures 4,715 mm in length and 1,890 mm in width.

It is inside the Torres EVX Van where the differences become visible: the rear seats have been removed to leave a large cargo area that can be adapted to a wide range of commercial uses. Thanks to this clear rear area, it now offers a usable floor area of up to 2.34 m² with a height of 885 mm, a width of 1,300 mm and a depth of 1,800 mm, in addition to storage compartments, cargo restraint bars and a rear tailgate.

The cargo area is separated from the two front seats by a safety metal bulkhead, leaving a cabin that in this area does not differ from the conventional version, retaining the same comfort and finishes, with elements such as the multimedia screen and the instrument panel, both 12.3 inches, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, optional heated and ventilated seats and driving modes. Nor should we forget the driver assistance systems, such as autonomous emergency braking at junctions, lane departure warning, blind-spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert.

Mechanically there are no surprises either: the KGM Torres EVX Van uses an electric motor delivering 152 kW (207 CV) and a torque of 339 Nm, together with an LFP battery featuring Cell to Pack technology and a capacity of 73.4 kWh, with which it can achieve a range of 441 kilometres on the WLTP combined cycle.

KGM is already accepting orders in Spain for the new Torres EVX, with a price starting from 26,000 euros including the brand’s commercial discounts; taxes and government aid are not included.
