Kimera EVO37: the legend of rallying is back
The Italian tuner Kimera Automobili has brought back the legendary Lancia 037, the last rear-wheel-drive car to win a World Rally Championship title

The Lancia 037 was unveiled by the Italian brand in 1982 as the successor to the Lancia Stratos. The Lancia 037 was the first Group B car developed by Abarth with a mid-mounted engine, weighing 1,170 kg and producing 205 CV.
Today, we see once again the car that was a rally legend with a great record, thanks to Kimera Automobili. The Italian tuner is famous for restoring Italian classics and this time it has brought back the Lancia 037, modernised.
As for its design, the Kimera EVO37 remains unchanged from the Lancia, though with new touches such as new LED headlights, mirrors, grille and 18- and 19-inch wheels.

One of the most difficult challenges for Kimera Automobili was to create a car as wild as the Lancia once was. For this reason, the Italian tuner has included on its development team several engineers who were part of the same Lancia workforce during the development of the 037.
A heart born for rallying
The engine block of the Kimera EVO37 follows a design structure similar to that used in the Lancia Delta S4. A 2.1-litre turbo engine producing more than 500 CV and a maximum torque of 550 Nm, sent directly to the rear wheels!
The gearbox can be either manual or sequential, making the driving experience of this beast like no other.

The cherry on the cake is that this Kimera EVO37 will be able to run on the streets, as it will be homologated for road use, making it a very practical companion for buying bread.
The car has been developed down to the millimetre: it features a tubular chassis, a suspension with a specific geometry to tackle corners like the legendary Walter Röhrl, signed by Öhlins, and a braking system with Brembo carbon-ceramic discs.

The weight of the Kimera EVO37 will be even lower than that of the Lancia 037, as the tuner insists its weight will be below one tonne.
Price and exclusivity on another level
Production of the Kimera EVO37 will be limited to 37 units, and its price matches its exclusivity. We regret to say that this car’s price is not for every pocket, as it will rise to 480,000 euros.
We will be able to see it in person at its public presentation at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, in the United Kingdom, on 8 July.
