LEPAS, the new brand from Chery, already has its first model ready for Europe
The multinational Chery is launching a new brand in Europe that will offer technology and equipment at a more competitive price than the models from Omoda and Jaecoo.

Brands are arriving in Europe more and more often. Many of them belong to the same industrial group, and one of the largest in the Asian country is Chery. This group sells brands such as Jaecoo and Omoda in Europe, but now it is presenting another brand that will soon reach European markets. This brand is called LEPAS and aims to position itself against a rather surprising rival.
With this new brand, the intention is to position itself against Dacia, the low-cost brand of the Renault group, which has the honour of having the best-selling car in Europe, the Dacia Sandero. LEPAS models will be in line with this brand and will cost considerably less than those of the other two brands. And the first model of this brand we will see in Europe is the LEPAS L8.

The LEPAS L8 is a crossover that has generous proportions, with a length of 4.69 metres, a width of 1.86 metres and a height of 170 cm. The wheelbase is 2.80 metres, which allows it to offer a fairly comfortable interior space.
In terms of design, it offers a very elegant look, with a front end that stands out, with very dynamic lines. At the rear, it features connected rear lights, which make it very recognisable on the road. Another of the brand’s goals is to offer sustainable powertrains, so this model and others will feature electrified engines.
Sustainable powertrains
The LEPAS L8 will feature a 1.5-litre combustion engine, working alongside various configurations with electric motors. According to the brand, the model will have one, two or even three electric motors, so there will be several versions for each user to find the vehicle they need.
Later on, during 2026, the brand will offer new models on the European market. These will presumably be the L4 and the L6. Each of them will be slightly smaller than the previous one, so the L6 will measure 4.5 metres and the L4 will have a manageable length of 4.30 metres.
Inside, we will find a large vertically oriented multimedia screen that controls the information and entertainment system. With this, the brand will offer technology and sustainable mobility at fairly competitive prices, so we are eager to see what it offers specifically and what we can expect from these new models.
