Lexus LC Hokkaido Edition, a tribute to the island of volcanoes

Lexus continues to push forward and shows us a new version of the Lexus LC Cabrio, called Hokkaido Edition. The Japanese brand’s convertible has a certain explosive character, so it’s no surprise they wanted to combine that energy with the model’s design. They did it by using the convertible’s design and giving it a much more pleasant interior comfort than one might expect.

The name takes its reference from the island of Hokkaido, known for its volcanoes. But that is not the only thing it is known for. The island is home to Lexus’s test centre, known as Lexus Shibetsu. It is on the tracks of these facilities that models such as the LFA supercar are fine-tuned.

It was on this track that this model was also refined, with the brand’s master drivers Takumi working on it. The car is available in Nova white, with 21-inch alloy wheels and a completely new front grille designed specifically for this version.

The LED headlights, both front and rear, have also been revisited and show a new look. The convertible’s roof can be finished in red, which creates an original and elegant contrast with the white bodywork. The essence of volcanoes is present in the interior upholstery, in black and dark red, which offer a picture of what we can expect from an active, furious volcano.

In fact, red has been chosen for the driver’s area, which has the more active character, while black is used in the passenger area. A calmer colour so that passenger comfort is greater. The images you can see were captured, precisely, in Hokkaido.
