Manhart S400: an improved version of the Audi S3 with over 400 CV and a more aggressive design
The German tuner has just unveiled its reinterpretation of the Audi S3 Saloon, raising its power and sportiness to make it an interesting alternative to the RS3
Following its latest proposal for the most aggressive version of the four-ring sports compact, Manhart has just presented its latest creation based on the saloon version of the Audi S3, giving it a more radical look than the German tuner has already accustomed us to, along with several performance improvements that allow it to surpass the power figures of its bigger brother, the Audi RS3.
Under the name Manhart S400, the Audi S3 Saloon modified by the tuner features an very elegant metallic grey finish, which, combined with several elements along its bodywork in black and contrasting with various details in red, brings out the best of the compact saloon from the four-ring brand.
More sporty
The front of the new Manhart S400 stands out above all for its singleframe grille painted in black, which is accentuated even further by the thin red line surrounding its outer edge. In addition, the S400 also adds a more sporty splitter with a thin red line running from side to side and a transverse vinyl graphic in black and red running from the bonnet to the boot lid.

From the side view, Manhart’s S3 features Manhart Concave One wheels in satin black with a red edging and a vinyl graphic running along the entire lower part of the bodywork bearing the tuner’s name, which adds an extra aggressive touch.
The rear of Manhart’s latest creation already reveals that this Audi is not a conventional S3, as its Remus stainless steel exhaust system with electronically controlled valves, its black-painted sports diffuser and a small black spoiler complete the image of this new model.

Inside, the published images of the new model show a cabin identical to that of a conventional S3, with a multifunction sports steering wheel trimmed in leather, sports seats upholstered in leather and Alcantara, or aluminium sports pedals.
The inner workings of the Manhart S400
As for performance, the Manhart S400 uses the same 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, although a larger intercooler, a carbon air intake and a modified ECU have been fitted. With all this, the S400 produces no less than 405 CV and 515 Nm of torque, surpassing the RS3’s power by 5 CV.
