McLaren wants a new car every year on the market

Honestly, with the amount of news we get lately from practically all the manufacturers, I am starting to think either the entire global car catalogue is outdated or there is no crisis at all.
So much so that practically all of them are announcing new models for the coming years, although in my opinion McLaren takes the crown, since in an interview with Antony Sheriff, chief executive of the English manufacturer, it was assured that McLaren plans to considerably expand its entire range, which is not very hard to believe given that so far it consists of nothing more than the MP4-12C.
Unfortunately, as a good executive usually does, he gives with one hand and takes with the other, so with the news of new models launching, one new one every year, we will have to be content. Now, what can we expect in the coming years?

To answer this question we have to turn our attention back and listen to the gossip, rumours that suggest the English brand is already immersed in developing an open-top version of the MP4-12C, a model to which it would not be too far-fetched to later add a lower-segment vehicle as well as a hypercar (successor to the McLaren F1, perhaps?) and the road version of the MP4-12C GT3 as a limited edition.
To close, to honour Sheriff’s last words, in which he made clear that McLaren does not intend to bring to market anything other than a two-door, two-seat vehicle, a car that would also incorporate the latest innovations derived from Formula 1, including the new hybrid systems being gradually developed in the queen category of motorsport.
It is precisely in this field that the English company boasts of having achieved a system of lithium-ion cells the size of an AA battery, capable of generating no less than 1 horsepower. Is this good or bad?
