Ingenium engines improve the Range Rover Evoque, and these are its prices in Spain
The Range Rover Evoque will get new engines for 2018 to improve its efficiency and offer more attractive, greener versions

Car models from every brand are continuously updating their technological equipment, giving the interior greater comfort and a good number of more comfortable features and, above all, improving safety. But the visible part, the one you can see and check without any trouble, is only half the story. Beneath the skin of each of those cars there are more important and necessary elements. Yes, I mean the engines, which, although we are not very aware of it, receive improvements and make greater use of the latest technology to increase their efficiency.
In the case of the Range Rover Evoque, it will share a diesel engine with the Land Rover Discovery Sport, although the former will also get two petrol engines that will strengthen the range available on the market.

The two petrol engines that will equip the Range Rover Evoque are two versions of the Si4: one of 177 kW (240 CV) and another, more powerful, of 213 kW (290 CV). The diesel engine Ingenium Sd4 of 177 kW, equivalent to a power of 290 CV, will equip both this model and the Land Rover Discovery Sport, offering a top-of-the-range option that will be very attractive for both.
With the introduction of the 290 CV Si4 engine comes the most powerful version of the Range Rover Evoque, which will also offer a more aerodynamic and sporty body in the version where it is fitted. This engine, like the lower-powered version, has come out of the Engine Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton. This centre was made possible thanks to an investment of 1,000 million pounds, and all the engines that come from it have been designed and developed in the United Kingdom.
As far as the Range Rover Evoque is concerned, the 240 CV Si4 engine can be combined with all existing body types and is 15% more efficient than the previous GTDi engine. This powertrain delivers fuel consumption figures of 7.3 litres per 100 km, with emissions of 165 g/km, while the 290 CV version has slightly higher consumption. This model also offers an eCapability diesel engine with front-wheel drive and 110 kW (150 CV), with consumption of 4.2 litres per 100 km, noticeably lower.
