MV Agusta and Alpine team up to create a limited edition based on the stunning Superveloce

MV Agusta and Alpine have collaborated to bring the blue of the A110 to the Superveloce’s image, along with other details that will make this motorcycle even more beautiful

It’s not common for motorcycle and car manufacturers to team up to create new special or limited editions, but when they do, the result is usually wonderful and utterly captivating, especially when the image of a sports car is carried over to a motorcycle. In this case, the partnership is between the legendary Italian motorcycle maker MV Agusta and the French brand Alpine, which, as you know, has made a comeback thanks to the A110 and is looking forward to expanding its range with more models, much like the collaboration between SEAT and Cupra.

MV Agusta can be proud of a catalogue of motorcycles that are each more beautiful than the last. Of course, this depends on taste, and mine says I wouldn’t mind having every one of the Italian manufacturer’s models in a garage waiting to be ridden. But if we have to single out one above all the others, it would undoubtedly be the spectacular and gorgeous MV Agusta Superveloce.

The MV Agusta Superveloce brings together all the technology and power one expects from a motorcycle today, all wrapped in a design inspired by the Italian manufacturer’s 1970s motorcycles. The result is a beautiful, timeless machine that the brand calls the “Neo Classic Cafe Racer“, and which, through this partnership with Alpine, now gets an even more classic touch thanks to the French. This isn’t the first time MV Agusta has sought a partnership with another brand: we have already seen it in the past with Citroën, also with Pirelli, and more recently with a celebrity such as Lewis Hamilton.

The MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine limited edition takes direct inspiration from the Alpine A110, using the model’s most iconic paint, Alpine Blue, on the most visible parts such as the fuel tank, running back beneath the seat all the way to the tail. On the large dome, it is applied to the sides and upper section, blending into the central area and the side fairings in Matt Silver. The blue also appears in the stitching of the seat upholstered in Alcántara in black, the same black used for the wheels and other elements such as the lower fairing, the front and rear mudguards, the air duct covers and the chain guard, all made of carbon fibre. To showcase this collaboration, the Italian and French flags are displayed on the front mudguard.

Where no improvements are made, nor are they needed, is in the three-cylinder inline 800 cc engine of the Superveloce, which delivers 147 CV at 13,000 rpm and allows a top speed of 240 km/h. To this we must add the Racing Pack, which includes new exhaust outlets, a dedicated ECU, a CNC-machined fuel cap with leather strap and Alpine logo, and a limited-edition certificate, complemented by the numbered plate in brushed aluminium on the fork crown, along with the technology package the Superveloce already comes with as standard.

As I mentioned, the MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine will be produced as a limited edition of just 110 units, matching the naming of the Alpine A110, and it will certainly not be suitable for every budget, as its price starts at 36,300 euros, a considerable difference when you consider that the basic Superveloce 800 starts at 20,000 euros.
