e-3008 e-5008 Peugeot Electric Cars SUV
New all-wheel-drive version of the Peugeot e-3008 and e-5008
With these new versions featuring dual electric motors and all-wheel drive, Peugeot aims to meet the needs of each of its customers.
The French manufacturer is preparing to expand the range of versions of two of its most interesting electric SUVs, the e-3008 and e-5008. The company will integrate into both models a new <>Dual Motor<> system, with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive, <>which will also increase the power delivered up to 239 kW<>.
These new all-wheel-drive versions of the e-3008 and e-5008 will complement the standard and long-range versions already on the market for both SUVs.

Although Peugeot has not yet revealed all the details about these new all-wheel-drive versions, everything points to the standard 156 kW motor on the front axle, which we already knew about, <>being accompanied this time by an 82 kW motor on the rear axle<>, thus delivering the aforementioned combined power of 239 kW. Currently, the standard versions of the e-3008 and e-5008 offer 156 kW, while the long-range version equipped with a larger-capacity battery reaches 170 kW.
Peugeot has not yet shared information about the battery pack, range, acceleration or torque, so we will have to wait for future announcements from the French manufacturer to learn these details. Currently, the front-wheel-drive versions on sale <>come with battery packs of 73 or 97 kWh<>, so it is reasonable to expect that this dual-electric-motor version will be fitted with the latter in the worst case.

On the other hand, it is also worth noting Peugeot’s stated intention to market, in the near future, <>a seven-seat version of the e-5008<>. The launch of a version of this electric SUV with cargo capacity expanded to 994 litres, rising to 2,310 litres with the rear seats folded down, has also been mentioned.

The French manufacturer explains that orders for these new dual-electric-motor versions of the e-3008 and e-5008 will open in Europe soon, once the official energy consumption and emissions data have been confirmed.
Finally, to respond to the demand from many of its customers, Peugeot will soon integrate into these two electric SUVs <>a new battery preconditioning system<>. This system will improve charging times when the outside temperature is very low, and it can be controlled via the route planner, ensuring the battery is in the best condition to recharge when the driver plans a stop.
