New Mazda MX-5 2021: improvements for the Japanese roadster
Mazda presents the MX-5 2021 range, with equipment upgrades and a special edition called Blue&Red Edition.

The Mazda MX-5, which has already reached the status of an automotive icon and surpasses the figure of 1.1 million units sold worldwide over four generations, continues to improve with small evolutions. Now, the Japanese brand presents the 2021 range, with some equipment novelties and an attractive special edition, following the success of other editions such as the MX-5 30th Anniversary.

It isn’t much, but as the saying goes, it’s better than nothing. And the MX-5 now adds digital radio as standard equipment from the entry-level trim. The MX-5 also becomes the first model of the Japanese brand to offer Apple CarPlay connectivity wirelessly, without the need for a cable. Another novelty is the Deep Crystal Blue Mica colour as an alternative to the body colour palette available.
MX-5 Blue&Red Edition
As for the special Blue&Red Edition, based on the MX-5 Soft Top with the 2.0 Skyactiv-G petrol engine producing 184 CV and a six-speed manual gearbox, it adds the aforementioned body colour, new to the range, as standard equipment, combined with a burgundy soft top and white leather interior upholstery.

Also standard on this special edition are the 17-inch BBS wheels, the MZD Connect system with navigation and a 7-inch touchscreen, a BOSE audio system with 9 speakers, heated seats and rear parking sensors. Compared with the Zenith version, the Blue&Red Edition costs around 2,750 euros more.
The prices of the new Mazda MX-5 2021 range, excluding any promotional discount in force, start at 28,640 euros for the MX-5 with the 1.5 132 CV engine, and from 34,250 euros for the 2.0 184 CV with Zenith trim. The Blue&Red Edition special version is priced at 37,000 euros. For the Mazda MX-5 RF, the price starts at 36,750 euros for the 2.0 version with manual gearbox.
