New Porsche 911 Carrera S: probably the best "nine-eleven" in the current range
Porsche adds the new Carrera S to the 911 range. In terms of power and price, it sits between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera GTS, making it one of the most appealing sports cars in its class and, probably, the best “nine-eleven”.

Improving what is already good. This is something Porsche has long accustomed us to, and the Stuttgart brand has done it again. Now, with the new Porsche 911 Carrera S, which sits in the range between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera GTS. More power and extended standard equipment are the main selling points of this new model, which is available as a Coupé from €188,947, and also as a Cabriolet from €193,981.
In this new edition, the 911 Carrera S increases the output of its twin-turbo flat-six engine by 30 CV to 480 CV (353 kW), with a peak torque of 530 Nm. And this power increase is not achieved through electronic management alone. Among other changes, new turbochargers are fitted and the intake is modified. With an eight-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox as standard, the 911 Carrera S Coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and its top speed is 308 km/h. It is the perfect alternative for those seeking a “plus” over the 911 Carrera, without needing to reach the impressive figures of the 911 Carrera GTS, with its 541 CV T-Hybrid engine.

As for the additional equipment compared with the 911 Carrera, the 911 Carrera S comes as standard with 20-inch wheels on the front axle and 21-inch wheels on the rear axle with a specific design, a sport exhaust with silver outlets, and the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus system, as well as the braking system of the Carrera GTS, with 408 mm front discs and 380 mm rear discs, and red-finished brake calipers. Optional extras include carbon ceramic brakes (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) and the PASM sport suspension, which is paired with four-wheel steering and lowers the bodywork by an additional 10 mm. Porsche has also made adjustments to the steering setup and front-axle kinematics, for greater agility and precision in corners and superior stability at high speed.
Inside, the 911 Carrera S stands out with the standard black leather package. As with the rest of the 911 Carrera range, a 2+2 configuration with two folding rear seats can be chosen at no extra cost (standard on the Carrera Cabrio). Other options include front-axle lift, HD Matrix LED headlights, and the Sport Chrono package, which includes the Porsche Track app for monitoring track sessions.
