Peugeot Boxer 4x4 Concept, a camper van for enjoying the outdoors
The French brand proposes this concept model to enjoy leisure moments, although for now it is a study that could go into production

Peugeot wants to join the increasingly broad market of camper vans and at the upcoming Le Bourget Show, dedicated to this type of vehicle, it will present the Peugeot Boxer 4×4 Concept, a camper van intended to serve as a prototype for a production vehicle. To shape this show vehicle, the French manufacturer has looked to the Boxer L3, though with modifications.
The changes come on the exterior, as the bodywork features reinforcements in durable plastic and the wheels are fitted with BFGoodrich all-terrain tyres and a higher ground clearance, 30 mm at the front and 50 mm at the rear. This will allow better performance on off-road terrain and make it more comfortable for the van to go where one wishes to live an outdoor adventure.

The bodywork is painted in Wanderlust Green and, to give it a more adventurous finish, it has additional lighting provided by 8 LED modules mounted above the windscreen. These modules come from the Peugeot 508, from which they have been adapted to give a better finish to this concept model. Inside, the design caters for three occupants and is divided into four well-defined areas to improve the van’s functionality.

The area for the driver, kitchen and dining area, bedroom and a bathroom allow you to enjoy the comfort of a camping van that is not only robust, but also has enough power to take us wherever necessary to enjoy outdoor leisure. It has several storage spaces and we can carry plenty of equipment securely. For further comfort, the information and entertainment system consists of an Alpine unit with a 9-inch screen with Waze navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, with Bluetooth.
The Peugeot Boxer 4×4 Concept is powered by a BlueHDi diesel engine that delivers a power of 165 CV and a maximum torque of 370 Nm sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. For the presentation, the concept model will be equipped with an electric bicycle, which can be placed on the rear rack, and a wooden canoe that is fitted to the roof rack.
