Peugeot Landtrack, the pick-up we wish Spain had
The Peugeot Landtrack is PSA’s proposal for the Ibero-American market. A light truck whose origins go back further than one might think
The Peugeot Landtrack, is the French brand’s new pick-up for markets where this type of vehicle is key to brands, such as Latin America, where, as in North America, pick-up trucks are chosen for their versatility and their value for money.

If Spain is no longer a country for off-roaders, it is even less so for pick-up trucks. The SUV craze has swallowed up the MPV segment, has dealt a fatal blow to the saloon segment and threatens to destroy the compact segment, so pick-up sales are relegated to enthusiasts of these vehicles or to companies that need a truly versatile vehicle.
Although this vehicle is aimed at Ibero-American markets, its true nature is disguised: its architecture is based on another pick-up, the Chinese Changan Kaicheng F70, as it is the result of the collaboration agreement between PSA and Changan Motors, one of the four giants of the Chinese automotive industry, which has agreements with other brands better known to us, such as DS, Mazda, Ford or Suzuki for the Chinese market.
Specifications and sales of the Peugeot Landtrack
The available powertrain is built around a single unit, the 2.4 THP engine producing just over 210 CV, and its power can be delivered in either a 4×2 configuration, with a manual or automatic gearbox, or as a 4×4 paired with an automatic gearbox.

The trim offered is exclusively the Allure, and body colour can be chosen from a palette of just three options: Ceramic White, Aluminium Grey or Rockstone Grey.
The reference price of the Peugeot Landtrack, for example in the Mexican market, starts at 504,900 dollars for the most basic version, the 4×2 with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and the most expensive is the 4×4 linked, inevitably, to the also 6-speed automatic gearbox, which costs 634,900 dollars.
Deliveries of the Peugeot Landtrack pick-up will begin in February 2021, and its marketing will take place in two stages: an initial phase for Mexico, Uruguay, Ecuador, Paraguay, Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti and finally Chile, followed by Argentina, Brazil and Colombia in the second phase.
