Pirelli adds three new tyres to its P Zero range
Pirelli has taken advantage of the incredible Goodwood Festival of Speed event to present additions to its P Zero range of luxury tyres

Pirelli presents three product launches on the amazing stage that takes place only once a year, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, an event for which the Italian firm is the exclusive tyre partner. This time, these are three new compounds from its high-end range, P Zero, with which the brand aims to meet all the needs of the world’s most sporty models in any season
These three new tyres have been created following Pirelli’s ‘Eco-Safe Design‘ approach, a process that uses innovative methods and materials, where more than 55% of the materials that make them up are of natural or recycled origin, and include virtualisation, a technique derived from motorsport.

The P Zero brand was born in 1986 to equip the Lancia Delta S4 in the Group B World Rally Championship, before making the leap to production the following year on the legendary Ferrari F40, which could be considered the first hypercar in history. Now, it is proud to present three new compounds: the P Zero E for electric cars, the P Zero R for supercars and the P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick designed for hypercars.
P Zero E
This is the first UHP tyre on the market produced with more than 55% materials of natural or recycled origin, and which has triple A on the European energy label across the entire range, showing the highest rating in all parameters.

These tyres have also been fitted with the latest RunForward puncture-resistant technology and the Elect marking, which delivers low rolling resistance and reduced road noise, even on electric vehicles.
The Pirelli P Zero E will be available in 17 sizes and its market launch is scheduled for the second half of this same year, 2023. Meanwhile, they will continue testing its effectiveness on equipment from various car manufacturers.

P Zero R
These tyres feature the latest adaptive technology, capable of adapting to different environments through materials that react to them; for example, they are made with special resins that activate within a specific temperature range to deliver better performance.

The P Zero R offers the best effectiveness and efficiency thanks to achieving the perfect combination between the compound and the tread pattern design. The P Zero R includes several cutting-edge features, such as the multi-compound tread, which offers longer tread life through the combination of a more rigid compound in the centre and a softer one on the shoulders for grip in corners.

P Zero Trofeo RS
The Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS is a semi-slick tyre specifically designed for high-end cars and supercars. Although it is related to the competition world, it can also be used on conventional roads. The P Zero Trofeo RS takes the capabilities of the P Zero Trofeo R to a higher level by adopting a practically smooth surface that maximises road grip and seeks to achieve optimal performance.

Pirelli has placed special emphasis on improving the tyre’s grip in wet conditions so that it can be used without compromising safety in everyday driving.
The Pagani Utopia, an impressive hypercar valued at 2.17 million euros and equipped with a powerful 864-horsepower V12 engine, has become the first car in its class to use P Zero Trofeo RS tyres.
It is important to note that this launch does not mean the elimination of the previous model, the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R, which will remain available for purchase.
