The 911 is the flagship model within the range of the German manufacturer Porsche, and that is why it must always be kept up to date.

Just a few weeks ago we learned of the latest update to the 911, which in this generation (991) receives supercharged engines for the “standard” versions for the first time.

If we already knew the Carrera and Carrera S variants in both their coupé and convertible versions, now it is the turn of the all-wheel-drive variants, whether in Coupé, Cabrio or Targa bodywork, forming a range that at this point is turbocharged across all variants except the GTS and GT3.

As we have known for many years, the all-wheel-drive versions of the 911 range are very popular, and enjoy a high level of acceptance among the general public looking for an extra touch of stability and safety in adverse and demanding conditions. Now, with the introduction of the new engines, they will be faster and at the same time more economical to “feed”.

The Carrera 4 and Targa 4 versions will mount a supercharged 3.0 flat-six engine fitted with two turbochargers that produces 370 CV and 450 Nm. Paired with the PDK transmission and the Sport Chrono package, they will be capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, reaching 287 km/h.

The S versions also use the same 3.0 engine, but thanks to various electronic and mechanical adjustments, the power rises to 420 CV, with a maximum torque of 500 Nm. Performance is absolutely brilliant, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, and a top speed of 305 km/h.

These all-wheel-drive variants are distinguished from their rear-wheel-drive siblings by a rear track width that is 44 mm wider. In addition, they come as standard with PASM active damping with a 10 mm lowered ride height, as well as the rear light bar that connects both tail lights.
