Porsche enables the Plug&Charge function at Tesla Superchargers in North America

Porsche has just taken an important step forward in improving the experience of its customers when charging one of its vehicles in the North American market. Through the Porsche Charging Service, the German manufacturer has started offering the Plug&Charge function at more than 27,500 Tesla Supercharger stations.

This technology allows compatible vehicles of the brand to be authenticated automatically when the cable of a Supercharger is connected for charging, in a similar way to any vehicle from Tesla itself. In this way, payment will be made directly through the account of the Porsche Charging Service, eliminating the need to open external apps, use credit cards or any other manual method at the charging point. The result is a much faster and simpler process, ideal for reducing waiting times and making long-distance journeys easier.

Porsche states that, as of today, the models that can take advantage of the benefits offered by the Plug&Charge function at Tesla Superchargers are all the versions currently on sale of the new electric Macan and the 2026 edition of the Taycan. In addition, the Stuttgart-based company has confirmed that the Plug&Charge function will be incorporated into the new electric Cayenne when it launches in the North American market later this year, thereby extending its availability to most of Porsche’s electric range in this market.

Since last September, Porsche has already offered access to the Tesla Supercharger network in North America through an NACS adapter, which is included as standard and at no additional cost with the 2026 Taycan and the electric Macan.

Plug&Charge also available on other charging networks

Finally, it should be noted that the Porsche Charging Service Porsche Charging Service does not only allow use of the Plug&Charge function at Tesla Superchargers located in the North American market, but also at all stations of the Electrify America charging network. In this way, Porsche seeks to enhance interoperability between different charging networks and make electric driving more accessible, offering an experience with fewer friction points to all its electric vehicle owners in North America.
