The SC-01 is an electric coupé currently sold in China, but it has been adapted for commercialisation in Europe and will be manufactured in Italy.

Chinese brands are taking up an important position in the European market, so it should come as no surprise that every year new names arrive to offer their models in the countries around us. The JEMV brand, which belongs to the Jiangling group, is set to launch an electric model that will arrive shortly under the sponsorship of Xiaomi. The model is called SC-01 and will be built in Italy.

This sporty electric-powered coupé features a wedge-shaped design, which gives the model a classic look, but a heart made up of cutting-edge technology. The car aims to deliver the essence of a sports car with a combustion engine, with electric traction bringing it into the 21st century, combining efficiency with a rewarding driving experience.

The model is sold in China, but it has been redesigned to suit the market and the tastes of European buyers. Many of its technical components have been modified to adapt them to Europe, validated in prototype form in early 2025, and which already allow the car to be almost ready for production in the very near future.

Details about the model have not been made public, although some specifications have been revealed that give an idea of what it will be capable of. Its weight is said to be 1,365 kg, which will allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. It will also feature four-wheel drive, although it will be able to direct power to the rear or front axle.

The two motors will have a combined output of 320 kW, which is roughly 434 CV. These motors are powered by energy stored in a 60 kWh battery, which provides a range of 500 kilometres on the CLTC cycle, although on the European WLTP cycle this range could be 435 kilometres.

The interior is surprising, because instead of the expected large central screen, the cabin has only one instrument display oriented towards the driver and physical controls for the climate system. Everything seems designed to offer the driver an optimal experience and to do away with digital distractions.

Availability and price

There is no date yet for the start of production, although information on this is expected sometime during 2026. Only 1,000 units will be built in Italy and distributed to different countries across the continent. The price in China is around 28,500 euros at the current exchange rate, although the European price is expected to be higher, at around 61,000 euros.
