The Captur is the latest model presented by Renault. It is a subcompact crossover based on the Nissan Juke and the newly launched Renault Clio. It will reach dealerships at the end of May or the beginning of June.

Two days after showing us a teaser image and a video, Renault, the brand with the diamond, has unveiled in grand style the new Captur, a subcompact crossover, which will make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, before reaching dealerships across Europe at the end of spring.

The new Renault Captur is the French-styled version of the Nissan Juke, with which it shares its platform and architecture. Both models are based on one another in the fourth generation of the Renault Clio. The Captur measures 4,120 mm in length and is roughly just 5 mm shorter than its Japanese cousin, the Juke.

According to Renault, the Captur combines the expressive styling and driving position of an SUV, where the cabin space and boot are more akin to those of an MPV, with the agility and driving pleasure of a compact hatchback.

Renault also claims that the Captur will offer many customisation options, including two-tone paint that creates a contrast between the roof, the pillars and the rest of the bodywork, as well as a selection of colours and finishes for the interior trim.

This is where the French brand tells us that the crossover offers a generous boot, a modular interior as well as innovative solutions borrowed from small MPVs. In addition, the Captur will come with a substantial standard equipment list that includes hands-free phone connectivity, Hill Start Assist and rear parking sensors.

The Captur will be built at the Renault plant in Valladolid, something Spaniards should be proud of, as it will increase the number of jobs at the factory.
