Renault ZOE Electric Cars Urban
Renault wants to improve its electric offering with the all-new ZOE

Everyone says that from the next decade onwards battery electric cars and hybrids will have a prominent presence, which is why all brands are moving towards this market. But there are many that are already positioned in it and have been offering 100% electric vehicles for several years, paving the way for the rest. One of those major brands is Renault, whose range of this type of product includes the ZOE.
And it is precisely this small city car that will enjoy a new version for 2017, with changes that improve its range and other interesting additions to make it even more attractive. And this is no small matter, since since its launch in 2011, the ZOE has sold just over 100,000 units across Europe. Renault is the leading brand in this market on our continent, and the Renault ZOE is the best-selling model, alongside the Kangoo Z.E., which is the best-selling 100% electric van in Europe.

Renault holds 25% of the market share in Europe, so it wants to stay at the top by improving its products. The new Renault ZOE features an improved battery, replaced by one with a capacity of 41 kWh, called Z.E. 40. This new battery considerably improves energy density thanks to the chemistry of its cells. This offers greater energy storage capacity and, consequently, greater range.
The Renault ZOE is the best-selling fully electric vehicle in EuropeIts range is rated at 400 kilometres on the NEDC cycle, which, in real-world terms, represents about 300 kilometres. The interior equipment has also been improved, both as standard and in optional elements to complement those offered as factory-fitted. The BOSE version receives the highest level of equipment and joins the ZOE family.
Until now, ZOE batteries could only be leased, although they can now be purchased and will become the property of the buyer, a step taken to attract new customers who may be interested in the model. The new Renault ZOE has been available for reservation since last October, although the first units will not be delivered until next January.
As for prices, for the leased battery option, the version with the 22 kWh battery is only available in the ENTRY trim at a price of €22,125, up to €29,225 for the new BOSE trim. If we are talking about the new 41 kWh version, the base model is the LIFE, priced at €29,225.
In the purchase option, the base model with 22 kWh stays at €29,625, and the top trim reaches €36,725.
