Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail: an exclusive model that surpasses the brand's luxury

This version of the Rolls-Royce Droptail has been designed to be one of the four cars that aim to take this model to the limit of luxury.

When it comes to Rolls-Royce, talking about luxury is redundant. There is no Rolls-Royce that is not luxurious. Not a single model from the brand is not luxurious and, for that reason, incredibly expensive. And now we find ourselves facing one of those vehicles that breaks even with that luxury and raises it to incredible heights. The Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail is a model that anticipates three more cars and will have a totally prohibitive price, within reach of only a few people around the world.

The four planned units of this model are based on the Rolls-Royce Droptail, but each of them will have features that make them unique. In this case, the Black Baccara rose has been chosen as the theme, and a body colour reminiscent of this flower has been selected.

This is a specific garnet tone that changes shade depending on the viewing angle. It can be either a more reddish tone or something darker, almost black. To achieve this, two combined colours have been used, which help create that unique and very particular shade. At the front, one can see a grille somewhat lighter than the one usually seen on other models from the brand. It is flanked by slim light units, positioned horizontally.

The wheels are large, and the doors have the feature of opening backwards, with the “suicide door” system, and it features a retractable hard top, which folds into the rear. Another thing that catches the eye and seeks to justify the price of the car is the marquetry work carried out on the dashboard.

This has been covered with 1,603 wooden triangles, surrounding a handcrafted analogue watch, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date, which is also removable. There is also a champagne-coloured case matching the car, because it’s not just about driving, but also about enjoying the experience.

On the technical side, it features a new monocoque chassis made of steel, aluminium and carbon fibre. To drive this unique piece, it has a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, which delivers 600 CV and a maximum torque of 840 Nm. Oh, and the price. If you like it, you’ll only have to pay 25 million dollars, so if you’re interested, don’t wait to book it, as it will surely sell out quickly.
