Seat already takes orders for the new 2015 Ibiza

Seat is going on sale in Spain these days as the Ibiza 2015, the update of the city car that was unveiled worldwide for the first time at the recent Barcelona Motor Show. The model brings new features such as daytime LEDs, the Colour Packs to personalise the car’s styling, recalibrated power steering and suspension, or additional connectivity and safety systems.
A key part of the update is the engine range, now all adjusted to Euro 6 emissions standards. Among the petrol options, the 1.0 75 CV and 1.2 TSI 90 CV remain, and the EcoTSI versions of 95 and 110 CV join them, as does the 1.4 EcoTSI of 150 CV with intelligent cylinder deactivation, which delivers a combined consumption of 4.8 l/100 km. The diesel range consists of the 1.4 TDI in 75, 90 and 105 CV.

The most efficient, the 1.4 TDI CR 75 CV, uses just 3.4 l/100 km. Except for the 75 and 90 CV petrol versions, all the other engines come standard with Start/Stop system. All are paired by default with a manual gearbox, but the 110 CV EcoTSI and 105 CV TDI can optionally be combined with the DSG automatic dual-clutch gearbox.
The Ibiza 2015 keeps the same body styles as before and is sold in three trim levels. The Reference comes standard with new equipment such as the automatic post-collision braking system — which prevents secondary collisions or mitigates their damage — and the driver fatigue detector, plus cruise control, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring, height-adjustable driver’s seat and steering wheel, and Isofix anchorages for the rear seats with Top Tether, among other features.

The mid-range Style adds front fog lights with cornering function, door handles and mirror housings in body colour, alloy wheels, XDS system for engines over 100 CV, air conditioning, leather-trimmed gear lever and multifunction steering wheel, Media System Colour radio with 5″ touchscreen, USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
The top-of-the-range FR is distinguished by 16″ Stratos alloy wheels, exclusive bumpers, twin exhaust outlets, front lights with daytime LEDs, LED rear lights, suspension with specific tuning, sporty seats and steering wheel, height-adjustable passenger seat and rear electric windows. Each trim level can be completed with an optional pack with further extras.

We should also note that the Ibiza 2015 can be fitted with Seat Drive Profile adaptive suspension technology with two settings — comfort and sport — and that it is the first model “powered by Samsung“, which Seat will be based on the agreement signed with the Korean company. In this case, the Spanish brand will offer the option of buying the city car with a Samsung Galaxy A3 on which the Seat Connect app has been installed, allowing certain phone apps and functions to be used on the vehicle’s infotainment system.
