Seat Ibiza Cupra, more power, more efficiency, better performance

The first generation of the Seat Ibiza Cupra arrived in 1996, and since then this version has become a benchmark within the Spanish brand. Now, the Seat Ibiza Cupra once again becomes one of the options for this model, improving its performance while reducing its consumption and emissions. The engine fitted to this version of the Seat Ibiza is a 1.8-litre TSI unit with a turbocharger and combined direct/indirect injection, delivering a power output of 192 CV, which is 12 CV more than the previous version. However, the most notable improvement is in maximum torque. This has risen from 250 Nm to the 320 Nm offered by this new generation of the Seat Ibiza Cupra, within a range from 1,450 to 4,200 rpm, with a consumption of 6 litres per 100 km.

To enhance the driving experience, this model features the CUPRA Drive Profile, which allows the driver to select the type of suspension, choosing between sport and a road-driving setting that also changes steering behaviour, along with other functions that improve driving. In terms of safety, this car has passed the Euro NCAP tests with five stars.

Both the exterior and interior retain their traditional look, although they have received some more attractive and functional treatment. Where it stands out most is in its technological equipment, with the infotainment system. This includes Mirror Link, which lets you mirror your phone’s screen onto the car’s touchscreen. The SEAT Full Link system incorporates the features of Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The new SEAT Drive App is also included, offering several useful applications for the driver. One of them is the “Where is my car?” option, which records the car’s location when it is parked so it can be easily found later.
