Since its launch in 1984, the Ibiza has evolved through five generations to become SEAT’s most important model. Now, to mark its 40th anniversary, the Spanish brand is launching a commemorative version that combines exclusive design with versatile performance.

A tribute to 40 years of history

The SEAT Ibiza FR 40 Aniversario stands out for unique details such as the exclusive Gris Grapheno colour, 18-inch alloy wheels and a suspension lowered by 15 mm. It also includes commemorative elements such as the laser-engraved badge ‘Anniversary Limited Edition’ on the B-pillar and the doors, together with a matt dark aluminium finish on the centre console. These features not only highlight its styling, but also its sporting heritage.

With dimensions of 4.059 m long, 1.78 m wide and 1.444 m high, and a wheelbase of 2.564 m, this model remains compact yet practical. Its boot offers a capacity of 355 litres, expandable to 1,165 litres, outperforming most of its rivals in this segment.

Engines

The SEAT Ibiza FR 40 Aniversario is offered with two engines:

• 1.5 TSI with 150 CV: a powerful and versatile option that combines performance and efficiency. With an average consumption of 6.3 l/100 km and an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds, it is ideal for those seeking a balance between sportiness and comfort.
• 1.0 TSI with 115 CV: available with manual or DSG gearbox, this more affordable version offers sufficient performance for everyday use, with prices from €24,380.

For those prioritising budget, a basic version with a 1.0 TSI engine with 95 CV for €18,600 is also available.

Interior focused on comfort

The interior of the Ibiza FR stands out for its ergonomics and technology. The bucket-type front seats offer exceptional support, while the rear seats provide generous space for its class. In terms of technology, the 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit and the 9.2-inch infotainment screen ensure an intuitive experience. The physical controls for the climate control, a rarity nowadays, add a touch of practicality.

Driving dynamics

The Ibiza FR is distinguished by a refined chassis and a balanced tuning. Its 1.5 TSI engine, combined with the seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic gearbox, delivers a quick and smooth response from low revs. Precise steering and front-end stability make it agile both in town and on secondary roads. Although it does not match the sportiness of models such as the i20 N or the Polo GTI, its versatility makes it suitable for less experienced drivers and families.

Prices

Thanks to cylinder deactivation, motorway consumption can be reduced to 5.5 l/100 km. As for price, this commemorative 150 CV version costs €29,700, while the automatic 115 CV version is available for €27,700. For those seeking a more basic option, the 95 CV version starts at €18,600. All versions can join the SEAT Confianza programme, which includes up to 10 years of warranty and five years of maintenance.
