Super Veloce: this is how the Lamborghini SV models have been and still are

The Lamborghini SV are part of the legacy of the Italian brand that marks the most powerful versions of some of its most popular models.

Lamborghini Sv Legado 49

The legacy of the SV models, the acronym for Super Veloce, dates back 55 years. Lamborghini has reserved this designation for the most powerful and striking variants of its models equipped with 12V engines, so when we come across one of them we know we are looking at one of the most attractive supercars on the market.

To surpass the models on which they are based, the cars underwent a weight-reduction process in pursuit of a better driving experience. While the Lamborghini models are already produced in limited numbers, the SV variants are even rarer. They are built only for very special customers, not only those able to pay their price, but those who truly want to enjoy those sensations behind the wheel.

For Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, each of the SV models has represented innovation and redefined the limits of performance in its era, staying faithful to the values that have always distinguished Lamborghini: innovation, lightness, exclusivity and pure driving emotion.

The first of the Lamborghini SV was born in 1971, the Lamborghini Miura SV, and it was not until 1995 that the second arrived, the Lamborghini Diablo SV. It was followed by the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV, in 2009, and in 2015 the Lamborghini Aventador SV arrived. In 2026 the launch of the last of these premium Lamborghini models is in preparation.

The Lamborghini Revuelto SV is the first of all of them to feature a hybrid drivetrain, so once again it breaks with everything we know about these supercars. The model has optimized aerodynamic features and a weight reduction that helps generate more power. The suspension has been redesigned and the braking system is also new. The Pilota driving system has also been added, offering a better experience behind the wheel.

The Lamborghini Revuelto SV is the most extreme interpretation of the Revuelto and is so far the latest chapter in a legacy that will continue over the coming years.
