Techart GTstreet R, the most radical 911 returns after 20 years
The legendary car tuner has taken the 911 Turbo S to 800 CV, a top speed of 350 km/h and a spectacular design

The last time we brought you a tuning project from Techart, we showed you the great work they had done on the Porsche Panamera, taking it up to 709 CV. This time it’s the turn of the new GTstreet R, a tuning package that first appeared in 2001 on the 911 996 and has now returned with the Turbo and Turbo S 992.
Perfection taken one step further
Techart’s goal with this machine was to make the perfect even better. Creating an incredible car, both aesthetically and in its powerful heart with outrageous figures, in a limited series of just 87 units for the whole world.
The exterior of this 911 is extremely radical from every angle. Its front features a new, more prominent splitter, a new bumper with larger air intakes, widened fenders and a carbon-fibre bonnet inspired by that of the Porsche GT3, which indeed make the perfect even more perfect.

On its flanks we can see the new oversized black wheel arches, gills in the purest GT2 RS style, the legendary 911 Turbo air intake at its waistline, and 21-inch forged wheels at the front and 22-inch at the rear, shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 or Pilot Sport S tyres, depending on the owner’s preference.
At the rear, the most striking feature is undoubtedly the huge carbon-fibre spoiler designed to increase downforce on the rear axle. Techart has also designed a new diffuser that houses the two exhaust outlets, which promise to be a sonic delight.

The interior of this 911 has also been treated by the German tuner, using Alcantara, carbon fibre and premium leather, drawing inspiration from racing car design. A subtle houndstooth pattern on the seats, chequered racing flags and yellow details. Although if the customer wishes, the interior configuration is fully customisable, from the materials used to the colours chosen.
Two performance options
The heart beating in the rear of this machine is the 3.8-litre flat-six which, thanks to new oversized turbochargers and a reprogrammed ECU, allows it to produce no less than 800 CV and 950 Nm of torque, gaining 150 CV and 150 Nm more than the standard 911 Turbo S.

Techart also offers another tuning option that dispenses with the new turbochargers and leaves this 911 with 710 CV and 900 Nm of torque. Not a bad figure, is it?
The suspension it fits can be adjusted, lowering the height of this 911 by up to 25 mm thanks to its coilover-type dampers, and we know the tuner has the Clubsport package up its sleeve. This adds sportier seats, a roll cage and threaded suspension.

The price for this limited series of 87 units is 73,000 euros before taxes, plus the price of the Porsche 911 Turbo or Turbo S on which this tuning package is to be fitted. In short, if you want to get one of these, you will have to pay the 73,000 euros for the package plus 212,632 euros, which is where a 911 Turbo starts, or 249,963 euros, which is the starting price for a Turbo S.
