The Alpine A110 expands its range with the new Pure and Légende versions

Alpine has announced two new versions of its A110 sports car, Pure and Légende. One is characterised by greater sportiness, while the other has a more refined character

If we had to choose a current sports car that puts a smile on our face every time we get behind the wheel, yet at a price we could consider reasonable, I think many people today would opt for the Alpine A110, a model that, in addition to offering those unique sensations, does so with a retro-inspired design that recalls its predecessors.

That said, I believe we don’t need surveys to know that the Alpine A110 is a sports car on the rise. It’s enough to know that its launch edition, the Première Édition, priced at 61,500 euros in Spain, has already sold out completely. Only 1,955 units of this edition were produced, and they were exhausted through reservations just 5 days after the booking window opened.

If you were one of those people who, unfortunately, couldn’t get one of these Première Édition units, don’t worry: Alpine has already announced two versions of its range. Yes, I know it’s not one of those first units, and it will surely lose some value compared to the early ones, but you’ll still enjoy having an Alpine A110 safely stored in your garage, to have a fantastic time every time you head out onto the road.

As I was saying, the French brand has announced two versions. First, we have the Pure version, which, according to Alpine, is aimed at customers looking to find and fully enjoy the DNA of a brand like Alpine. We don’t have official data, but judging by the dynamism and lightness the Pure version boasts, we imagine it will be quite similar to the Première Édition, which featured greater minimalism in favour of greater sportiness and a kerb weight of 1,080 kg.

On the other hand, we have the Légende version, which could be considered a “tamer” character, a version that seeks greater refinement and sophistication, allowing its owners everyday use and long-distance journeys. To achieve this, it uses elements such as Confort seats with 6-point Sabelt anchorages, plus an interior upholstered in leather with polished carbon fibre trim.

Furthermore, Alpine took the opportunity to announce three new body colours for the A110: Iridescent White, Abyss Blue and Thunder Grey. Otherwise, the Alpine A110 remains unchanged; there are no mechanical changes with the arrival of the Pure and Légende versions, so we will continue to find the 1,800 cc engine delivering 252 CV and a maximum torque of 320 Nm, paired with the seven-speed automatic gearbox.

To find out more details and the prices of these two new versions, we will have to wait for the Geneva Motor Show, where they will be unveiled during the press conference Alpine will hold on 6 March.
