The Audi A7 55 TFSIe, the plug-in hybrid version of the German saloon, is already available in Spain
The Audi A7 55 TFSIe arrives on the Spanish market with 367 CV, a hybrid powertrain and more than 40 kilometres of range in EV mode, all for a price of €87,050

Audi continues with an offensive that aims to be much more committed to the environment while, at the same time, continuing to satisfy its customers. The new Audi A7 has succumbed to hybridisation, a system that will not only allow it to considerably reduce CO2 emissions, but also to offer itself as one more option within its generous range. The brand of the four rings already showed with the e-tron its clear intention to make room for electric vehicles in its line-up, but these will coexist peacefully and harmoniously with models such as the A7 55 TFSIe, a variant that is available in Spain.
Behind that name lies a coupé-styled saloon that will continue to offer dynamism and performance worthy of the house that shelters it. Not surprisingly, the set is backed by a second electric motor, designed to support the combustion engine and allow customers to drive in EV mode.

To be more specific, the Audi A7 55 TFSIe is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of delivering 252 CV and 370 Nm of torque. Thanks to the presence of that electric motor, which delivers 105 kW and 350 Nm of torque, total output rises to 367 CV and 500 Nm, enabling the 0 to 100 km/h sprint to take place in 5.7 seconds and allowing the saloon to reach a top speed of 250 km/h (134 in electric mode).
This second motor is located in the S Tronic automatic gearbox, and all of its power is managed by the Quattro ultra all-wheel-drive system. Under the boot, the engineers of the brand of the four rings have housed the lithium-ion battery, capable of storing 14.1 kWh of energy at a nominal voltage of 381 volts.
Thanks to this evolution of all-wheel drive, the Audi A7 55 TFSIe activates the rear axle in a functional, fast and predictive way. However, energy recovery always takes place through the front axle, allowing the EV-mode range to exceed 40 kilometres, a distance more than enough to cover our urban journeys without using a single drop of petrol. However, to enjoy this aspect of the four-ringed saloon, a total of 2.5 hours of charging will be required if we use a public charging point; if we use a domestic 230-volt socket, the required time rises to seven hours.

The same technology is present in other models from the German house, such as the A8 or the Q5, and the A7 has wanted to join them in the Spanish market. It will be necessary to face an outlay of €87,050 if we want to get our hands on this 55 TFSIe variant, which will gradually transfer its technology to more models from the brand.
