The Audi A8 will get an Allroad body thanks to the Italian tuner Castagna Milano

The Audi A8 has been modified by Castagna Milano, an Italian tuner that has managed to offer an Allroad version of the previous-generation A8.

The name Castagna Milano may not be familiar to you, since it is an Italian tuner known for having offered different bodies for the Fiat 500. However, its popularity is about to grow after the announcement it has released through its social media. It is a preview of Castagna Milano’s latest creation, a previous-generation Audi A8 adapted to one of the most famous variants used by the four-ring brand, the Allroad. Now, the most exclusive offspring of the Audi gets ready for off-road duty thanks to the Italian coachbuilder.

For now we only know a couple of images of this Audi A8 and, although it is not their latest variant, we can see a look modern enough to fit into today’s market. This is also possible because Castagna Milano has turned to the restyling of the German flagship, which brought important aesthetic improvements.

This ingenious and unusual preparation has also led us to imagine an estate version of the A8, a vehicle that has always gone without this configuration due to its large storage capacity. As expected, the most noticeable changes on the Audi A8 Allroad are at the rear, where the C-pillar is extended until it joins what used to be the boot, creating a fifth door. The roof bars and wheel arches also stand out, which now feature protections to give the A8 a more adventurous look.

At the same time, the Allroad version of the Audi has always offered its users greater off-road capability, which is enhanced by a higher ground clearance, adaptive suspension and the signature Quattro all-wheel drive. These features are all present in this A8 built by Castagna Milano, except for steeper approach and departure angles, but it is under the bonnet where we find the cherry on top of this very special cake.

Castagna Milano has chosen to use the powerful W12 engine of the Audi, a 6.3-litre naturally aspirated unit capable of producing 500 CV of power and 625 Nm of torque. These figures allowed the Audi A8 to reach 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, with a top speed limited to 250 km/h. For now we do not know whether this new “artisan” Allroad configuration will affect its performance, but we can be sure that this engine will be the ideal companion for tackling the harshest terrain.

The Italian tuner has not yet made any statements about when this new configuration will be ready, but it is undoubtedly presented as the ideal Christmas gift for those who enjoy luxury and the countryside in equal measure. In this way, Castagna Milano brings us a Audi A8 unknown until now, allowing us to give it a “face” for one of the variants most coveted by fans of the model.
