Audi Q3 Q3 Sportback Coupés SUV
The Audi Q3 Sportback joins the offering of the new generation of the popular German SUV
The new generation of the Audi Q3 keeps adding members, now with the arrival at Spanish dealerships of the new Q3 Sportback coupé version

Audi kicked off its own summer with the arrival of the third generation of the Audi Q3, an SUV that for the four-ring brand has become, in just over 10 years, one of its most important models and the leader of its SUVs, something the Q3 has achieved thanks to its good sales figures, which have risen year after year. Shortly afterwards, the e-Hybrid version joined the range, that is, the plug-in hybrid Q3, and now the offering is expanded with the Sportback coupé body.
The Audi Q3 Sportback arrives in its own second generation, and it was not until the second generation of the SUV body that the Q3 was expanded with the Sportback coupé body. As is customary, the Q3 Sportback is similar to the SUV body up to the A-pillar, from where the roofline begins to slope down until it becomes 29 mm lower than the conventional SUV body. This translates into a smaller body volume at the rear, meaning the wheel arches look wider and more prominent, along with a rear window with a new design to suit the new line.

Optionally, the new Audi Q3 Sportback is also available in the S Line version, which includes specific bumpers, Selenite Silver inserts and Audi Sport 19-inch wheels, together with the S Line interior featuring sports seats upholstered in Impressum fabric with black microfibre. We must not forget the other available trim, the Black Line, with a black exterior pack, tinted windows and Audi Sport 20-inch wheels, as well as an interior with S sports seats in microfibre and the Comfort Vision pack, which includes, among other things, keyless comfort entry without Safelock, adaptive cruise control and LED Plus headlights with LED Pro rear light cluster.

Regardless of the chosen version, the new Q3 Sportback has noticeably improved its aerodynamics compared to the outgoing generation, achieving a coefficient of drag of 0.30; in addition, sound insulation has also been improved, making it the first compact Audi model to fit front side windows with acoustic insulation. Obviously, as with the SUV body, we will have the same palette of exterior colours, some of them exclusive depending on the chosen exterior trim.

In terms of equipment, features and design, the new Audi Q3 Sportback is similar to its SUV-bodied sibling; the only difference lies in the rear and in its boot, with a capacity that compared with the SUV body is reduced by roughly 100 litres, although thanks to the longitudinal sliding of the rear seats and the adjustable backrest, a few more litres can be gained, especially if the seats are folded down, as the total capacity is set at 1,289 litres. Either way, overall, the boot capacity of the Q3 Sportback has increased compared with its previous generation.

Mechanically, the Audi Q3 Sportback can opt for all the engines currently available for the new Q3 generation, namely in petrol form the TFSI 110 option with 150 CV of power thanks to its 1.5-litre engine and S Tronic gearbox, carrying the DGT ECO label; followed by the TFSI Quattro 150 with 204 CV of power, and finishing with the most powerful option, the TFSI Quattro 195 with 265 CV of power and 400 Nm of torque. As for the diesel option, the only variant available is the TDI 110 with 150 CV of power and front-wheel drive; while if you want a cleaner engine, the newly presented e-Hybrid variant with 272 CV of power and 400 Nm of torque will also be available.
The new Audi Q3 Sportback is now available to order at Spanish dealerships, with prices starting from 48,490 euros.
