The BMW X6 reaches 789 CV thanks to G-Power's work

In 2007, the first crossover coupés arrived at BMW, a range that was launched with the BMW X6. Today, this model is in its third generation and is one of the benchmark models in a range where it has to compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé and the Audi Q8. But that is not enough for some buyers, so tuners have worked to increase this model’s power.

The BMW X6 M Competition is equipped with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 616 CV and a maximum torque of 750 Nm. But G-Power has found the key to offer considerably more power and enhance the driving experience. There are several packages designed so this model reaches an impressive output, which can be installed on the main engine.

Three types of pack

The first of the power packs offered by G-Power increases that output to 690 CV and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. That is, an increase of 75 CV and 100 Nm over the original figures, thanks to a performance software update. The price of this first iteration is 3,010 euros, the amount payable in Germany.

In second place we found an output of 739 CV and a maximum torque of 900 Nm, thanks to another performance software and a change to the exhaust, which in this version is made of stainless steel. If it is only a software change, the price is 3,494.99 euros, while if the exhaust is also changed the price rises to 5,950 euros.

For the third customisation package we find an output of 789 CV and a maximum torque of 950 Nm. To achieve this, the performance software has been replaced, the exhaust changed and the turbocharger upgraded. A price of 5,950 euros has been set for this final customisation.

In addition, other options can be included to give these versions of the BMW X6 M Competition a very special presence and characteristics. The 11×23-inch alloy wheels with high-performance tyres and adjustments to the exhaust sound are some of those options that round off the features of this model that passes through the customisation workshop.
