The BYD ETP3 expands its market across several European countries

The BYD brand is becoming increasingly popular in Europe. It is not a brand that has arrived and immediately landed among the top sales positions; rather, it is gradually settling into a comfortable position. It offers models with interesting and very practical features. Some of its models are still limited to very few markets in the European Union, such as Norway, but they are gradually expanding to others in order to advance the rollout in other countries.

This is the case of the BYD ETP3, an electric commercial vehicle that began its commercial life in Europe in Norway, where it has sold quite well. From now on, it will also be available in Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands. And over the coming months, it could start being sold in other countries.

An appropriate length and load capacity

The BYD ETP3 has a length of 4.46 metres and a maximum payload of 850 kg, which makes it a practical commercial vehicle. It does not have a particularly striking design, but that is not a major issue. Its look is very simple, without flashy details, and at a glance you can see that it is an electric commercial vehicle.

To power this vehicle, the manufacturer has relied on an engine delivering 136 CV and 180 Nm of torque. It is paired with an automatic gearbox and achieves 0 to 100 km/h in 13 seconds. The top speed of this vehicle is limited to 100 km/h.

As for the battery, the BYD ETP3 has a 44.9 kWh battery, offering a range of 238 kilometres under the WLTP cycle. It supports fast charging of up to 50 kW, although it is equipped with a 6.6 kW charger, which is slower and suited to home installations.

In terms of technology, this commercial model features a multimedia system with a touchscreen that includes satellite navigation and Bluetooth, automatic climate control, electric handbrake, electric windows and mirrors, trip computer, rear-view camera, parking sensors and synthetic leather upholstery.

For the time being, it will only be available in these four European countries and will not reach Spain for now, although we expect it will not take long to do so.
