The Dacia Bigster Mild Hybrid G140 can now be ordered in Spain

After launching the Dacia Bigster Mild Hybrid 140, the Romanian brand is starting to sell the dual-fuel version running on LPG in Spain.

Bigster Journey 001

Although the Dacia Bigster Mild Hybrid 140 has been available for some time, the Romanian brand is now offering its new version, the Mild Hybrid G140. This model is practically identical to the previous version, but it uses a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine that can run on both petrol and LPG.

This engine offers two options. On the one hand, it features 48-volt mild hybridisation, which provides considerable fuel savings and actively reduces harmful gas emissions. As a result, the C-segment SUV from the manufacturer associated with Renault can run on both fuels, as several of the brand’s models already do.

Nuevo Dacia Bigster

With this launch, the new Dacia Bigster Mild Hybrid G140 can already be reserved at the various dealerships across Spain. The starting price of this new SUV version is €24,590. The dual-fuel engine will be available from the Essential trim level onwards and will combine the functionality and space of this model with the advantages offered by this type of engine.

When running on LPG, the Bigster Mild Hybrid G140 emits around 10% less CO2, making it a practical vehicle for getting around the city. It is equipped with two fuel tanks, one for petrol and one for LPG, each with a 50-litre capacity. With both tanks full, the SUV can cover 1,450 kilometres without refuelling.

The LPG tank is located beneath the boot floor, so it manages to keep its capacity almost intact. Switching fuels is simple and quick. Just flip a switch and the engine uses one or the other fuel depending on the driver’s needs.

The price of this version is similar to that of the Bigster Mild Hybrid 140, with the same level of equipment. For this reason, it represents a good option, as using LPG saves fuel and also produces fewer emissions than its petrol-engined sibling.
