The Dacia Duster Cargo is the professional version that is only sold in the United Kingdom

A few days ago we learned about the Dacia Duster Pick-Up, a variant launched in Romania that allows this well-known SUV to be used as a work vehicle. But in the United Kingdom another version of the Duster has been launched that can be used for the demanding working day, but in this case with a covered load area. This is the Dacia Duster Cargo, which allows loads and work tools to be transported in a useful and practical space.

Although the exterior appearance has remained unchanged, the interior has been transformed to create the space needed for work. This means the rear seats have been removed, creating a fairly spacious load area capable of carrying everything needed for a working day.

Enough space to work comfortably

With the rear seats removed, the load area capacity is 1,149 litres, with a payload of up to 430 kg. To separate the load area from the driving area, a metal mesh has been installed, protecting the driver and passenger from possible impacts from shifting cargo.

The load can be secured thanks to four anchor points and a removable cover that protects the cargo from prying eyes while increasing security. The rear windows are tinted, providing additional protection to keep what is being transported private.

The Dacia Duster Cargo is only available in the Expression trim level, so it offers all the equipment the SUV has in its standard version. This includes 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, a seven-inch instrument display, a 10.1-inch infotainment system screen and several driver assistance systems, among other things.

As for engines, as with other versions of the model, it is available with the 130 CV mild-hybrid engine and the new 155 CV conventional hybrid engine. The first offers all-wheel drive, while the second is more focused on efficiency.

In the UK market, the mild-hybrid version is offered at a price of £22,995, while the 155 CV hybrid version sells for £23,595, which is equivalent to 26,495 and 27,185 euros, respectively.
