Dacia Spring Electric Electric Cars Urban
The Dacia Spring is already announcing its second generation for 2024, and this is what we know
The brand is going to present a new variant of the Spring, which improves the performance and equipment of the current one in 2024, although it will keep the current one on sale.

We are at a moment of change in the automotive paradigm. And we know that there are more and more electric vehicles, especially in the most affordable and cheapest segment. Brands are betting on small urban vehicles with electric traction, and the arrival of more models within this segment is being prepared. But, for the moment, the one that takes all the honours is the Dacia Spring.
The small urban model from Dacia has become a bestseller, and we already know that the next generation will arrive in 2024. What we did not know was what technical novelties it will have, and this is what the brand has just announced these days. The improvements over the current model are reflected in the equipment, the battery capacity and the power of its electric motor.

The main thing is going to be the new image of the brand, which will be present in the overall design of the model. This change will arrive without increasing the price of the car, something essential for it to remain a benchmark in the electric city car market. The second generation of the model will be built on the CMF-A platform. This will be used for the second generation, but it will be abandoned in the third, in favour of the CMF-AEV platform in 2026.
The second generation of the Dacia Spring will have a 30 kWh battery and a motor that will offer an output equivalent to 60 CV. This will allow a range of between 250 and 300 kilometres, depending on the conditions of use of the vehicle.
By comparison, the current version offers a 28 kWh battery and a motor with an output of 33 kW, equivalent to 45 CV. The current range is rated at 230 kilometres, according to the WLTP homologation cycle.
What is interesting is that this new version of the Dacia Spring will not replace the current one, but will remain on the market for a while after its launch. Thus, whoever wants to can opt for this first generation, and the incoming model will be understood as a higher-spec version of it. At least until the arrival of the third generation, in 2026.
