The Geely Galaxy E8 is about to go on sale and promises to be a sales success
Geely’s new saloon is electric and will begin to be marketed at the Guangzhou Auto Show, with a very simple and aerodynamic look.

Models from Geely are carving out a very important niche in their country of origin, and due to its relationship with Volvo (it acquired the Swedish brand a few years ago), its proposals may end up reaching Europe, both in their original form and with adaptations for the European market. In this case, we know that the Galaxy E8, its new electric saloon, is going to start being sold at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
This saloon measures 5,010 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width and 1,465 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,925 mm, which guarantees generous interior space for enjoying journeys on board. The design is elegant and quite interesting, but what the brand announces is that aerodynamics is also something to highlight.

In fact, they say that the drag coefficient is 0.199, so it outperforms other similar models. For comparison, the Mercedes EQS has a drag coefficient of 0.202. They have achieved this by eliminating elements that obstruct the airflow, although they have not replaced the exterior mirrors with cameras and have kept them intact.
The front has no grille, due to its character as an electric saloon, while it features very attractive headlights which, together with the daytime running lights, create a distinctive light signature. At the rear, a line of LED lights links the two light clusters, as we are seeing on many current electric models.

Very high-tech interior
The cabin interior features a 45-inch display with 8K resolution, which spans the entire width of the dashboard. As for the steering wheel, it has flattened top and bottom sections, a console with just six buttons and a round dial. There is also wireless charging and a divided storage compartment. It also includes ambient lighting and a sliding panoramic roof.
Powertrain
As for the model, there are three versions available. Both use the brand’s SEA platform, which indicates they have 400-volt charging technology. The first version uses a 272 CV rear motor and an LFP battery with a 62 kWh capacity. This gives it a range of 550 kilometres.
The second version has a 76 kWh battery, which provides a range of 665 kilometres and uses the same motor. Note that this range is measured under the CLTC cycle, which governs the Chinese market. Finally, there is a version with 800-volt technology that uses two motors, one on each axle.
The front motor delivers 224 CV and the rear one a formidable 421 CV. The battery is 76 kWh and the range achieved by this variant is also 665 kilometres.
