The Holden Commodore ready for export to the US
Holden Australia is reportedly preparing import models of the Commodore for North America, a kind of revival of the former Pontiac G8.

Americans have always had a secret desire to bring Australian cars to the US, given the strong presence of Ford and GM that has existed Down Under for years and that, to a greater or lesser extent, has always relied on its American subsidiaries, at least when it comes to engines.
The link between Holden and GM is nothing new, but now there is talk of a possible arrival of the Holden Commodore in Uncle Sam’s land.
The model would be exported to the US under the name Chevrolet SS, a kind of revival of the now-defunct Pontiac G8. Considering that in recent months some experimental models have been spotted in Australia being driven with left-hand drive, Holden is probably putting the final touches on these export models.
Personally, both the Australian Ford Falcon and the Holden have always caught my attention, and perhaps at the right moment they could have served to create some interesting variations for the European market, something GM did not consider worthwhile at the height of Pontiac and the already defunct G8.
