The Hyundai Azera gets updated to welcome 2015

2015 is here and with it, new designs for models currently on the market. Many are minor redesigns to make them more pleasing to the eye of users who want to buy them next year. Others are somewhat more substantial, although they are not exactly new generations of the models. Today we are going to review what the Hyundai Azera has undergone to face next year.

In this case the changes have not been very big; they have been limited to improving the lighting system and giving it a slightly different front end. This includes an updated grille and improved bumpers. These now include LED fog lights, which greatly improve the quality of the light they emit and allow cutting through fog more efficiently.

In terms of exterior styling, the changes are reinforced by 18-inch alloy wheels. It is inside where the biggest changes can be seen, aiming for more comfort for its occupants. The new centre console design includes an 8-inch LCD screen, which controls both the navigation and the audio system.

Through this screen you can access the Blue Link system, which also includes new applications such as Google search, Apple’s “Eyes Free” which, together with Siri voice recognition, helps you operate it hands-free. You can also tune in to HD radio and internet stations. In addition, it features a Wi-Fi client available for mobile devices.

It also includes driver assistance systems such as lane change detection and the elimination of the blind spot in the mirrors. The intelligent lighting system and the forward collision warning system are also added.

The engine remains the same as in the current model, with no changes under the bonnet. It is a 3.3-litre V6 petrol engine, which delivers 293 CV and a maximum torque of 345 Nm, paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
