The Hyundai i30 is updated and offers ECO versions for city driving
The city car from Hyundai becomes ECO thanks to the inclusion of Mild-Hybrid technology across all available engines and some aesthetic changes

The Hyundai i30 arrived in 2017 in its third generation and in 2020 it is updated to become a more attractive car in line with the times we live in. This is an aesthetic change, but also one of new engine options that will allow it to carry the DGT ECO label, so we can be sure it will be a model that city drivers will enjoy.
To begin with, the front section has been modified, with a new, larger grille that enhances the look of all three body versions, Hatchback, Fastback and Wagon. The grille is designed as a three-dimensional mesh, the headlights are more streamlined, and this renewed look is reinforced by a very distinctive light signature.

The front bumper has changed, as have the rear light clusters. Its shape remains the same, although the light signature mirrors that of the front, creating a cohesive ensemble. Alongside the restyling come the wheels, as optional new 16- and 17-inch designs have been added.

The N-Line sporty line has also received an update, which includes a larger air intake at the front and a rear diffuser with a more efficient design. In this case, the new optional wheels are 17 and 18 inches.

The interior has also received these changes to update the Korean car. Essentially, work has gone into increasing the model’s technological equipment, which was quite necessary to suit the current needs of buyers. The digital instrumentation is shown on a 7-inch digital display, and the infotainment system screen measures 10.25 inches.
New, more efficient engines
The efficiency of the engines comes from new engine units now available and improvements to those it currently offers. For example, at the entry level, the 1.0 T-GDI engine with 118 CV, which until now could only be paired with a manual gearbox, now also comes with a six-speed automatic gearbox option.
A Mild-Hybrid option has been added to this engine, so the model can carry the ECO label from this entry range. Two new engines have been introduced: a 1.6 CRDI diesel unit producing 136 CV, and a petrol 1.5 T-GDI that will reach 160 CV. The latter will be included in the highest-performance version, although it will not match the performance of the N version.
