The IM LS9 Hyper is one of the best-equipped Chinese models of this year
This Chinese brand has taken one of its models and created a more luxurious and comfortable version that includes more equipment and even a shower in the tailgate.

The brand IM was created by MG together with the distributor Alibaba and has prepared several models to satisfy Chinese buyers. One of those models was the LS9, which was launched last year, but which has been redesigned into a new version that will be released shortly. This SUV elevates the category of the model it is based on, with much superior equipment that includes elements that break with everything seen so far.
Unlike other smaller models from the brand, such as the IM5 and the IM6, this model does not rely on battery technology but instead opts for a range extender. It is equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder combustion engine that delivers 153 CV.

But this engine is used only to charge the 65.9 kWh battery. The energy stored in this battery is sent to an electric motor located on the front axle that delivers 215 CV. On the rear axle, two more motors have been placed, which together provide 261 CV.

IM LS9 HYPER
With this configuration, the LS9 Hyper offers a range of up to 308 kilometres. The model also features a 24-degree steering system, electrically operated on all four wheels. This allows it to have a turning radius of 4.95 metres, very tight for a car of its size.
This model measures 5,279 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width and 1,806 mm in height. The wheelbase, which stands at 3,160 mm, is impressive and guarantees a spacious and comfortable interior.
An elegant exterior
The design is not spectacular, but it is quite elegant. At the front we find vertically positioned headlights and an LED light bar. A LiDAR radar has been placed in this area, although it is located on the roof. The wheels can be chosen in several sizes, from 20, 21 and 22 inches. To enhance its elegant look, a silver decorative detail has been added that runs from the lower window frame to the rear.
Technological interior
The cabin has not yet been shown, but it is expected to be very similar to that of the IM LS9 on which it is based. It features a display measuring 27.1 inches, which includes the instrument cluster and the multimedia screen. A 15.6-inch screen for the front passenger has also been added. At the rear there is a 27-inch screen that unfolds from the roof, so everyone has screens to keep themselves entertained during journeys.
The sound system is signed by Bang & Olufsen, and all the seats feature a massage function, so everyone will be comfortable on board. What truly breaks with everything is that the IM LS8 Hyper has a shower fitted to the rear tailgate.
