The iPerfomance range of BMW presents its price list for the second half of 2016

The arrival of plug-in hybrid models from BMW for the second half of this year 2016 is already in place. The different models that make up this range arrive with the prices you can see at the end of this article, where each one of them is specified. There are three models in the BMW iPerformance range, which feature different powertrains, but which adapt the hybrid system to the needs of each one.

The first of these plug-in hybrid models in this range is the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer 225xe. This model features a 1.5-litre engine, capable of sending 136 CV to the front axle. This unit is the same one fitted to the BMW i8, although with less power and performance. The electric motor it uses sends its power to the rear axle, adding roughly 87 CV to the overall output to reach the model’s final figures.

Three plug-in hybrid models with different characteristics

In the case of the BMW 3 Series 330e, the power produced by both motors is sent to the rear axle, giving it an output of 252 CV. The third model, the BMW X5 xDrive40e, sends the combined output of both motors to both axles, giving this model a maximum output of 313 CV, with the capabilities of a car with xDrive all-wheel drive.

This model delivers all the efficiency of these models from the Bavarian brand, while reducing the model’s emissions as much as possible, something that is very well received by enthusiasts of these cars, which are powerful and at the same time more efficient.
