Hybrid Cars Salón de Frankfurt Supercars
The Lamborghini Sián is unveiled ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show
A few days ago we saw some small photos of Lamborghini’s new hypercar, but today we can already see more images and learn more about its mechanics

The automotive market has woken up from its summer slumber, and we are all keeping an eye on what will arrive during the Frankfurt Motor Show, which will take place in just a few days. It has only been a few days since Lamborghini released a brief preview of the new hypercar it intends to present at this very important event, but that was not enough.
So today we have more details on what we already know will be called Lamborghini Sián, and we already have a good number of official images to whet our appetite for the marvel we will see in person in a few days. The Lamborghini Sián is going to become the most powerful sports car in the brand’s range and the first of them to feature a hybrid powertrain.

Aesthetically, the model inherits part of the look of the Lamborghini Terzo Milenio, but it certainly establishes its own, more striking style. Today we can take a close look at its bodywork and admire the Y-shaped light units lying on their side. At the rear there are also original light clusters, made up of two groups of three hexagonal lights.

LAMBORGHINI SIÁN
We already knew that only 63 units will be built and, although it carries a really high price (rumours point to 3.3 million euros), all the units have already sold out, so if you were interested in owning one of them, you’re going to have a tough time.
The engine powering this model is a 6.5-litre V12, the same one used in the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, although the titanium intake improves engine performance, raising output from 770 CV at 8,500 rpm to 785 CV at the same revs. Since it also features a 48 V mild hybrid system, this power increases exceptionally to 819 CV.
That said, the mild hybrid system fitted to the Lamborghini Sián is capable of moving the car on its own. Furthermore, to store electrical energy it does not use a lithium-ion battery, but a supercapacitor that is three times lighter than a battery of the same size and up to three times more powerful than a cell of the same size.
The engine is paired with a seven-speed automatic gearbox. With all of this, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, with a 70 to 120 km/h recovery time of 1.2 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 350 km/h.
