The Lamborghini Urus delivers 782 CV thanks to Novitec

When a brand launches a high-performance model, it is hard to imagine further evolution beyond a future successor. When Lamborghini presented the Urus, its first SUV, we were all left astonished by the performance it was capable of delivering. However, the tuner Novitec has decided to squeeze the most versatile member of the Italian firm’s lineup and push it to even more radical performance. With this premise, we are not only looking at the most powerful Urus to date, but also one capable of overshadowing its older sibling, the Aventador.

Novitec has always stood out for bringing out a much spicier side of the various members of Ferrari and Lamborghini. This time it was the turn of the Italian SUV, a model that combines versatility and sportiness with great success, but the German tuner wanted to go even further with more than a simple tweak and with an even more aggressive look.

On the outside, we find a very pronounced aerodynamic kit, which further accentuates the lines of the Urus. In addition to more pronounced wheel arches, we can also notice various carbon fibre pieces, a new design for the bumpers, a carbon fibre bonnet with air intake, a diffuser with a quad square exhaust outlet and a longer, more pointed spoiler.

To further enhance the look and improve dynamic behaviour, Novitec has also fitted a new suspension. Thanks to this, the body height has been lowered by 25 millimetres, so that the wider wheel arches -10 cm on the front axle and 12 cm on the rear- and the massive 23-inch wheels fit even better into the overall look.

But the German tuner wanted the mechanical side to be the most adaptable, with three different power levels. At the first level, Novitec has achieved a total of 747 CV and 958 Nm of torque, figures capable of catapulting the Urus to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. With Stage 2, power rises to 774 CV and 998 Nm, and to sweeten the package even further, a stainless steel exhaust is offered that can adjust its tone. Finally, Stage 3 makes the twin-turbo V8 produce a total of 782 CV and 1,032 Nm of torque.

In addition, it will be possible to combine all this sporting arsenal with a palette of 72 colours, which will make the Italian SUV even more eye-catching. For the moment, the price Novitec asks to turn the Lamborghini Urus into an even more radical creature, capable of overshadowing high-flying supercars is unknown.
