The Lepas L8 Super Hybrid is already a reality in Spain, with price and equipment confirmed
Lepas kicks off its commercial offering in Spain with the new L8, a plug-in hybrid SUV with outstanding standard equipment

Lepas, the Chinese brand which, as you probably know, belongs to the Chery group alongside others such as Omoda, Jaecoo or Ebro, intends to land in our country with three models initially. The Lepas L4 and the L6 we already know and will arrive shortly over the course of this year; the third model is the Lepas L8, which the brand unveiled earlier this year and which finally kicks off its sales in Spain.
As we already mentioned at the time, the Lepas L8 adopts the brand’s “Leopard Aesthetics” design philosophy, which draws on the silhouette of a leopard to create a body that combines clean surfaces with defined details, concentrated in a length of 4,688 mm, a width of 1,871 mm, a height of 1,686 mm and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. The colour palette consists of five colours: Oceanic Green, Glacier White, Boreal Violet, Onyx Black and Lunar Grey.

Moving inside the Lepas L8, its design remains in harmony with nature, in this case through lines inspired by landscapes and natural elements, where cutting-edge technology is applied while still retaining traditional elements such as physical buttons, which are so scarce today, thus maintaining greater safety and quick access while driving. Mechanically, the Lepas L8 uses the third-generation LSH super hybrid powertrain from Chery, which combines a 1.5 TGDI petrol engine producing 143 CV with two electric motors, one coupled to the combustion engine acting as a generator and another on the transmission driving the wheels, together delivering a combined output of 150 kW (204 CV), resulting in a combined system power of 279 CV (205 kW) and a maximum torque of 365 Nm.

Part of this system is the LFP battery of 18.4 kWh, which provides a maximum electric-only range of 90 kilometres. It can also be charged at DC fast charging (up to 40 kW), going from 30% to 80% in under 20 minutes, or on a domestic AC charger (3.4 kW maximum output) to complete a charge overnight, and it also features V2L technology. Combined consumption is 2.2 l/100 km, while consumption in CS (charge sustaining) mode is 6.0 l/100 km, figures that allow a total range of more than 1,100 kilometres.
The Lepas L8 can start being ordered this same month, with a price starting from 41,700 euros excluding launch campaigns, financing or incentives.
