The MG3 Hybrid will be the only full hybrid you can afford

MG is all set to unveil the new MG3 with HEV full hybrid technology at the Geneva Motor Show, on 26 February. The brand has already given us a small teaser of the first image of this new city car, which is ready to surprise us with its design and technological advances.

With the aim of taking one step further towards electrification while offering very competitive prices, MG has announced that the MG3 Hybrid will be the first affordable full hybrid car on the Spanish market, promising prices that we hope will come in below €25,000.

Technology that triples the range

This revolutionary city car is set to become a clear competitor in the B segment, with an expected arrival in Spain in spring 2024, and it will be the first of the three HEV hybrid models that MG will launch in 2024.

One of the most notable innovations of the MG3 Hybrid is the incorporation of a large-capacity battery, tripling the electric range of similar vehicles in its segment. This improved capacity will allow the MG3 Hybrid to reach speeds close to 100 km/h in fully electric mode, one more move by MG to offer the most advanced electrification technology.

A line-up of models with EV, PHEV and HEV

The MG3 Hybrid marks the start of a trio of HEV hybrid models that MG plans to launch in 2024, thus completing the brand’s model range. It will integrate seamlessly with the current offering, which includes electric vehicles (EV) such as the ZS EV, MG4, MG5, Marvel R and Cyberster, and the plug-in hybrid HS Plug In Hybrid.

Taking the baton from the successful MG4 and MG HS Plug In Hybrid, pioneers in EV and PHEV electrification respectively, the MG3 Hybrid stands out as the accessible option in the HEV segment. The MG4, sales leader among mainstream electric cars with three battery versions (51, 64, 77 kWh), has been positioned on the market from €18,480*, a very competitive price for the performance and trim of this model. For its part, the MG HS Plug In Hybrid, with a hybrid powertrain made up of a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol combustion engine, is available from €25,440. It is not only the most affordable plug-in hybrid, but also a fully equipped premium family SUV.
