John Cooper Works Countryman MINI Compact
The MINI John Cooper Works handles icy and snowy tracks with ease
The MINI John Cooper Works has been tested in icy and snowy conditions, equipped with customised elements designed to improve its aerodynamics.

A car’s worth is measured in the most demanding moments, and these usually involve driving over difficult terrain, such as icy and snowy tracks. For that reason models are tested in these conditions, to see how they behave. Even if they never end up facing these conditions during their life cycle. But manufacturers want to be sure that, should the need arise, they will cope without problems with such extreme climates.
The MINI John Cooper Works has also undergone these tests, so its future drivers can be confident that it will behave the way it is expected to. The model is being put to the test and invites its drivers to venture out onto snowy terrain to enjoy winter sports thanks to the car’s capabilities.

A design to improve aerodynamics
The design of the MINI John Cooper Works is intended to optimise aerodynamic performance. The elements incorporated include the front and rear bumper spoilers and the side skirts, which accentuate the model’s sporty and dynamic look.

In addition to this, the roof spoiler and the rear diffuser, both from JCW. All of this sets the trend with a glossy black finish and decorative touches in red. The Chili Red colour gives the model a very sporty appearance, reflecting its sporting essence, which dates back to the 1960s.
The 17-inch alloy wheels, with the JCW Star Spoke design, not only offer a sporty and elegant look, but also help the tyres maintain good grip and cope with the most difficult terrain. At the centre of the wheels, a fixed hub cap allows the MINI logo to sit horizontally in the centre of the wheel, setting it apart from other models.
And that’s not all, as MINI offers many personalisation options so that every customer ends up with a practically unique car.
Engine
The MINI John Cooper Works uses a four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol engine, which delivers a total output of 231 CV. This helps it move freely, even on icy or snowy tracks. The chassis has been developed drawing on racing experience and guarantees a feeling of driving a go-kart, even on demanding roads. At the same time, it offers driving fun without giving up safety.
The engine produces a maximum torque of 380 Nm and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. Top speed is 250 km/h. Fuel consumption is 6.8–6.5 litres per 100 kilometres, with CO2 emissions of 154–147 g/km.
For the time being, these figures refer to the German market and may vary in other markets, although they are most likely to remain more or less the same.
